- Clifford Darrett : Clifford Darrett resides in Dayton, Ohio and has lived there for 38 years. He was
born and raised in Evansville, Indiana. His artwork is in the collection of many private homes and

- George McCormick
: George McCormick, originally from Mississippi, began creating African-American folk
art in Milwaukee, WI, in 1993. He says that his craft came to him by prayer. George was learning to
create porcelain dolls, but was finding it difficult to find time for the art as his job at the county
hospital kept him busy. He recalls praying that he would be able to learn how to carve wood.
One evening, George discovered a piece of wood on the floor. A voice in his head told him,
"This is my gift to you." Pulling a knife from his pocket, he began carving and hasn't stopped yet.
- Albert Burnam : For the past 58 years Albert Burnam has created art. He worked and studied in Germany
and France (1957 - 1959). The Massaii Art Institute Inc., a non-profit organization based in Southern
California, was formed in 1997, to record, display, and instruct thru the medium of art, and to conduct
seminars and display one of kind hand crafted art objects. His gallery, containing his studio and
residence, is located in Los Angeles County, CA.
- John Stanley Moon :
John Stanley Moon, folk artist and author, was born in the small town of Winder, Borrow County,
Georgia in 1948. He has resided in Athens, Georgia since 1971.
Mr. Moon started writing children's stories and poems in 1993 and has created five books of poetry and
eight children books. All books have since been combined into one big book.
His books have traveled around the world, and he has letters from all the countries where his writings have been read and enjoyed.
His poetry is about love and nature and are meant to bring joy to life. He writes sad poems to make you pause and reflect on life, and his children's stories to teach about life.
Mr. Moon began creating mixed media folk art in 1995, and it consists of :
Moon dolls made out of plastic water jugs and colored paper, Robots made out of Styrofoam and colored paper.
Collages and water color paintings.
He loves beautiful colors and calls his home his gallery of many colors.
He also owns an art van which he decorated.
